I’m sure there are not any problems with the product. I have got an SBS-1 as well.On the other hand, it requires a more efficient updating system to support the 80,000 aircraft database. AirNav also see the situation. Maybe it will be improved in the near future. Another con is now it is unable to reorientate the map in 2D.
Of course there are advantages and disadvantages of one product.
The good thing is, the installation is very easy, and it just works well without additional plugins. The graphics and mapping are perfect and it is nicely built. It provides excellent aerial and support forum. If you want 3D add-on, you need to pay extra money for it. But it is free of charge for the regular update for key features. With a monthly fee, you can connect to a live network, thus you don’t need any aerial if you have internet access.
I have been using RadarBox for 3 years since its first release and now I have 2 units. This is really fantastic tool for those who are very interested in aircraft like me. I always looked forward to getting my own “radar” to see aircraft. One excellent feature for the product is users around the world can share their data with its data staring network. That is, you can see aircraft at any place as long as there is a RadarBox. There is no change on the RadarBox hardware through these years, but there are regular updates on software.Users of other radar products have posted many problems, but RadarBox users (including me) have not found any issues yet. How great RadarBox is!
A bit expensive for me, but considering its great features, the price is completely acceptable.
