I haven’t used all of the features, but I believe everything will work. It does a good job in copying files to a disk. Love it!
I upgraded it from the old version. I was expecting it could playback Blu-ray well as the Power DVD 11 has done. Sadly, I could not use it to play disks, because my monitor and video card combination could not support it. Though there is no HDMI on my monitor, a DVI-D dual link cable is there for connection. I had not thought there would be any playback errors, because it is digital. If you want to purchase this one or other Blu-ray programs, you should first check your hardware. If it could not work with your system, then it’s just a waste. I’m now thinking about giving up the 1 year old monitor and buying a Blu-ray monitor. I haven’t used all the features, so I can’t give many comments. I’m confident that the program will satisfy my needs while the playback problem really makes me feel disappointed.
This software can work with my 64 bit laptop software, while all previous media programs are failed to work with the 64bit software. When I launch the previous media programs, some errors may pop up, but with Media Suite, no errors. I hope to use this software asap. Although I haven’t tried its features, I do not regret to buy the product.
I need a DVD player. I think Power DVD is better than Windows Media Player, because it’s easier to control the speed. But Win DVD is even better than Power DVD. I also want to record videos from my MiniDV camcorder via USB2. Power Director can capture them easily without quality loss, but a firewire is needed, as the manual says. But if you want to buy them, you should first try and make sure it can work with your camcorder. Both Power DVD and Power Director are included in Media Suite, and the Suite costs less than buying the two programs separately. But Power Director is not so perfect cause it often plays tricks. For example, I’m angry with the default strange music and effects when I try to convert videos to DVD and add menus. It’s simpler and more obvious to turn off those irritating music and effects in PhotoDirector than in Coral. It’s not easy to find how to begin the capture for it’s only an unobvious little red button on the left. Actually, almost all of the menu and batch capture buttons are not obvious. Error messages shows up repeatedly every time when I do capture or editing. This error messages says there is something not installed on my computer. I have to click “install” every time and input my administration password. This really annoys me. But luckily, a free upgrade patch helps me solve the problem. The only thing that makes me regret is its irritating music and effects. This stops the Suite from being perfect.
I was just looking for the feature I want, price is nice but some functions not well operated. It is just ok for common users not for the pro/advanced users.
Nice coupon! luckily it has 64bit version, so I can use it on my laptop with 64bit system, none of media software that I’ve used works with the 64bit laptop. and Media Suite Ultra can run on 64bit system perfectly. I’m satisfied with it.
