Its features are much better than the Notepad. It’s an essential tool for the programmer.
I’ve been writing codes for 10 years with this program. If you are a beginner in web development, I think you probably will not get its pros. It’s indeed quite a good software, even the free version still provides powerful features. I recommend it if you are working in web developing, it will definitely do great help.
I’ve been using it for a long time, it’s simpler than Word, but more powerful than Notepad.
I use this when translating files, very easy to use
Fast Speed, Full Featured, awesome!
It’s okay, the “regular” function is a bit better than Editplus
Personally, I think EmEditor is not as good as Notepad++, because I can write codes at once when Notepad++ installed, but the EmEditor must be configured first, sometimes this will make me confused, and it’s of no practical help to writing codes (EmEditor’s status bar might be more practical when checking codes in the process of code-writing). In short, Notepad++ is better simply as a code writer. Of course, it might be because I’m still not familiar with the configurations of EmEditor, and I haven’t tried the plug-ins either. The most troublesome thing now is when that I am writing html, unlike in Notepad++, I am unable to automatically group labels and tag them with code symbols that can be hidden or displayed.
The Cons: It lacks the feature of automatically folding when code checking. The outline function is not easy to use.
Emeditor is very convenient when dealing with CSV. With its filtering function, it is faster and more convenient than Excel, and it will be more efficient if you run with a few macros , plug-ins, and customize the main menu, right-click menu, toolbar. I’ve used this program for years, and it’s really good. I’ve also tried EditPlus, NotePad++, EverEdit……Each one has some highlights, but I still like EmEditor.
