This has much better functions than notepad, a must-have for programmers
I’ve been writing codes for 10 years with this software… If you’re a beginner in web development, you probably won’t see the advantages of this software. It’s indeed quite a good software, even the free version provides very powerful features. I suggest web developers make good use of it, it will definitely help a lot.
I have been using this, simpler than Word, more functional than Notepad
I use this when I translate documents, very easy to use
Fast, fully-featured, very good
It’s okay, the “regular” function is a bit better than Editplus
Personally I feel that EmEditor is not as intuitive to use as Notepad++, you can write codes freely once you get your hands on a Notepad++, but for EmEditor you have to go through the settings, sometimes I get so confused, and it’s of no practical help to writing codes (EmEditor’s status bar might be more practical when checking codes in the process of code-writing). In short, Notepad++ is better simply as a code writer. Of course, it might be because I’m still not familiar with the configurations of EmEditor, and I haven’t tried the plug-ins either. The most troublesome thing now is when that I am writing html, unlike in Notepad++, I am unable to automatically group labels and tag them with code symbols that can be hidden or displayed.
The shortcomings of EmEditor are that the code-checking bar does not automatically fold and the outline function is not easy to use.
The software Emeditor is very convenient for working with CSV files. With its filtering function, it is faster and more convenient than Excel. On top of scriptable macros and several in-built plug-ins, you can customize the menu, right-click menu and toolbar. All these makes the software highly efficient. After years of application, I think this software is really good. I’ve also tried EditPlus, NotePad++, EverEdit…… They have their own characteristics, but I still like EmEditor more.
