Compared to using the parallels, actually I use it on my Mac laptop, and Vmware on my windows system at work. My work PC has 4GB memory, I find it slowed down the speed of the system, then I upgrade to the 8GB, works well. I like Vmware is because it's cool to have two systems in one. Vmware is the best I think, and compared to other similar virtual machine tools, vmware is great and Parallels can't be beat for virtual machine software due to it's impressive reliability and performance.
VMware Workstation can provide full-screen display, it works as if I’m really installing the operation system.
VMware Workstation is a very good virtualization manager. I can build my own virtual OS and host on my computer with it.
VMware Workstation is a professional program, it can satisfy different needs. It works great. It can be used to test operation systems. It’s good for professionals and enthusiasts, but not suitable for starters. If you are a novice for virtualization, you can use Virtualbox. All in all, VMware Workstation is very good.
After one week of use, I would share my feelings:
VMware Workstation 10 gets many improvements, the advantages of it:
1.it helps you install OS automatically
2.supports both 32-bit and 64-bit versions
3.no conflict between client OS setting and the host
and disadvantages are:
1.occupies many CPU and memory resources
2.it’s inconvenient to transfer files between internal and external system.
Awesome software, I can use it to play old games on my Win 8 computer, it supports both full screen mode and window mode. Really powerful.
