The built-in ZIP feature in Mac OS X will meet your needs for opening ZIP files. With WinZIP, you can have a good view of the contents in a ZIP archive as well as remove individual items or quickview items. Mac OS X can’t open some newer ZIP formats while WinZIP can open them perfectly. The only defect is that I cannot rename files in an archive.
From my experience, Winzip is one of the greatest tools for me. I am a long-time user of it and there are no problems with Winzip until now. It is great. The company has really created a very good program. I’m extremely glad to see that the product is working flawlessly on OSX platform.
This program worked very well just as it described. A good Winzip for Mac. It has done very good work with both my Macbook Air and Mac desktop. It is very easy and quick to zip files. That enables me to send files to my friends extremely fast.
I used winzip for windows before and like it very much. So I was really excited when I got the mac version for my new Mac. It did not make me disappointed. It works well just as it says on the box. It can zip up my files and make my zipped files into normal ones. Everything is easy. Really a fantastic product.
I have been using MAC for a long time. A few days ago I needed to download large spanned files. I gave unarchiever a try but it failed. So I turned to WinZip and it really surprised me with its simplicity and really good job. I like it very much and WinZip Mac edition has now been my first choice.
I have a Mac and I use iMac to deliver photos, music and videos almost every day. There is one problem – there is a limitation for delivering large files to others, while with WinZip for Mac, no such limitation at all. I have used it for a long time. Many thanks to it.
It has done a good job for me, but there is one problem. When I want to make a compressed file from an open document, I could not zip it directly. I need to start the program and drag the document in to zip it. Another problem is I could not rename the file. Hope it could be improved.
I’ve been using winzip for Windows XP for a long time. Now there is a mac version, so I ordered one for my mac. It could do anything it is supposed to do, but works a little slowly on my 10.9. Anyway, I like it.
